“I originally wasn’t planning on using a wedding coordinator, because I wasn’t sure if it would be helpful or necessary for me. In the end, I decided it would be better to work with one instead of trying to do everything myself . I could not have done it without Andrea. I did a lot myself prior to working with her, but I was only able to really enjoy my wedding day because she was able to do all the heavy thinking for me … .
I was very pleased with Andrea’s organization and helpful suggestions. In advance of the wedding, she picked up on things I wouldn’t have known about, or remembered because of her experience in event planning, and was useful ways I didn’t expect. She was open to ideas, and also kept us on track, and in budget. On the wedding day, she had a cool head, and I knew I could trust her to notice last minute details or missing items. This allowed me to focus on getting married, and being present, rather than worrying [about all the details]. I know that my mother also breathed more easily on the day of, because she just had to show up, and walk her daughter down the aisle, and my sister didn’t have to run all over trying to organize people, instead of being by my side.
My husband and I are still in awe of how perfect the day was for us, and our families and friends are still talking about how great a time it was. I even said that I wished I could go back and do it again, because it was such a wonderful experience. Andrea is well worth it.”

Both our partial and full planning packages start from the day you sign and continue until the day of your wedding. Full planning will take care of every aspect of the wedding including sourcing all your vendors, budget creation and management, design, and of course execution. Partial planning hits all these categories as well but in a more limited way. For example, your partial planner can help you build your budget and source about half of your vendors, but you will be responsible for sourcing your remaining vendors and making sure your overall budget stays on track.

Great question! This will come down to how much pre-planning support you think you could best benefit from. A coordinator is a good fit for couples who feel confident planning their own wedding. They often have project management or event planning experience and assess what vendors are necessary to accomplish their vision and how to make it happen within their set budget for their number of guests. A planner is a better fit for couples who are working and/or studying full time and don’t have the 200 - 300 hours to dedicate to planning a wedding on top of their personal and professional commitments. Check out our partial and full planning packages or book a call to discuss the different options or even a custom package for you.

Full planning is often a good fit for couples who are feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of planning their own wedding, are working or studying full-time, would prefer a professional handle this scale of investment, or would simply rather not take on all the logistics related to planning an event with the emphasis or scale of a wedding.

When it comes to planning the actual logistics of the wedding and executing them on the day, it’s safe to say yes we do everything. If there is a particular task you are thinking of, let us know and we will be happy to discuss it.
We do not handle food or bar service, security or intoxicated guests, flower arranging, waste disposal, or moving or installing large furniture pieces.

A certified planer is an assurance that the person you will be working with is commited to the craft and continuous improvement. We understand the risks and liabilities that come with putting on a one-time-only event such as wedding and treat it with a high level of care, and not as a hobby. We also carry insurance and are happy to provide proof on request.

We quote each couple based on the specifics of their wedding to ensure they are getting a fair price. Some of the most common factors include guest count, vendor count, set up services requiring extra staff or hours, distance from our homebase (Newmarket, Stratford or Essex).
You will receive your custom quote towards the end of our consultation after we have had a discussion on how we can tailor our service to fit your needs.

We also have associates who are WPIC certified planners who are able to deliver the Demars Events standard equally as well as Andrea should she herself be unavailable.
